ASTANA. June 13. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan and Slovenia intend to sign an agreement on avoidance of double taxation. This has been stated today at the second session of the Kazakh-Slovenian intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation, informs deputy co-chair of the commission from the Kazakh side, Vice Health Minister Bolat Takezhanov.

As considered by him, the agreement aims to ensure that companies operating in the two countries did not pay double taxes.

"The Kazakh side considered and carried out internal procedures for approval of the new document, and sent it to the Slovenian side. But you have to consider the fact that Slovenia is a member of the European Union and in this respect they have little time-consuming procedures. But in the course of this meeting, we agreed that by the end of this year we will have completed these activities, and prepared all the necessary draft agreements to be endorsed. The following year, at the official invitation of the Slovenian side, perhaps, there will be a visit of President Nursultan Nazarbayev to Slovenia, during which the agreement is to be signed, " said Bolat Takezhanov.

It is worth noting that during the meeting the parties debated the possibility of collaborating in promising areas like pharmaceuticals, transfer of medical equipment and others.

The third meeting of the commission will be held in 2014 in Slovenia.
